Funding for Epi Pens

The Governor signed into law House Bill 4352 and 4253, which requires schools to have at minimum 2 Epi Pens on hand for student emergencies.  House Bill No. 4353 requires that our school district attempt to obtain funding or resources from private sources, or from another source other than this state, to fulfill the requirements of this legislation regarding training for staff in the appropriate use and administration of an epinephrine auto-injector, and the purchase of the epinephrine auto-injectors. If we are unable to obtain this alternative funding for all or part of the costs of complying with this legislation, then we will apply to the State for reimbursement for the unfunded costs of complying with this law.

If you would like to provide funding for this legislation, please contact Michael Decker, Superintendent at 989.865.9961 or at
