What is it? Kindergarten through second graders were given the DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) assessment in the fall. The classroom teacher, two para-pros and myself met and looked at the data from the DIBELS. We then divided the class into four groups using the data from the DIBELS tests. Each group works on a specific reading skill. Every three to four weeks the students will be given a Progress Monitoring test. If a student tests beyond the benchmark, he/she will move to a different group. Check out the photos below. We are very excited about our Intervention program and feel this will help many children. |
