From July 17 to August 3, the Jumpstart program for elementary students was focused on the theme of going to the fair. All the crafts were designed around fairground themes. As a culmination of the program, on August 2, the students had the opportunity to attend the Saginaw County Fair.

The Jumpstart program for elementary students was a huge success, running from July 17 to August 3. The children had a fantastic time and demonstrated excellent teamwork in their groups. We've captured some exciting action shots of the memorable moments below.

Hello Kindergarten Bulldog Families!
We hope everyone is enjoying their Summer! We are excited to see everyone on August 8th & 9th for our Kindergarten Camp. This will be a great opportunity for your child to meet their teachers, as well as other staff members. Your child will also get to experience many of the activities that they participate in daily and weekly, including gym and art class.
*Please park in front of the Elementary and walk your child up to sign them in and check the forms
*Once your child leaves to enter the building, Mrs.Selich will stay behind to answer any questions you may have
*Your child will be given a snack each day; please share with us if they have any food allergies
*During the visit, the students will do some academic and play-based activities in the classroom, have a tour of the building, make a craft project in art class one day and play in the gym the other, play on the playground equipment, have a snack in the cafeteria, and take a bus ride around Bulldog Drive (which is through campus) to learn bus safety rules
*Since the students will be playing on the playground and running in gym class, we recommend that all students wear tennis shoes or closed-toe shoes for their safety
*All students that attend will receive a Bulldog T-shirt and a drawstring backpack
*Your child is not required to bring a backpack or any school supplies to these sessions
*At the end of each session, the students will be brought out in front of the building to be picked up.
Reminder- If your child is attending Bulldog Kids Care that day and you indicated that on your camp sign-up sheet, we will pick your child up from daycare and drop him/her off afterward
If you have not signed up for your child to attend. We still would love it if your student could attend. We will welcome them to either session.
The AM session will take place from 8:30-11:00 on August 8th and 9th.
The PM session will take place from 12:00-2:30 on August 8th and 9th.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Thanks & Go Bulldogs!

We have added a new teacher to the elementary special education teaching team! Let's give Mr. Hemgesberg a warm welcome!
Hello! My name is Aaron Hemgesberg, and I'm excited to be a special education teacher for elementary K-4 grades. I live in Freeland with my wife, Amy, who is also an elementary teacher. We have three children- Adam, Mia, and Sydney. I grew up in St. Charles and participated in football, wrestling, and track and field. After high school, I went to Adrian College to play football and studied history with a minor in political science. I hold a teaching certification from Saginaw Valley State University and a master's degree in educational technology from Central Michigan University.
Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work in various places such as ETC in Saginaw, Saginaw County Jail, Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe's education department, Saginaw Learn to Earn Charter School, and Saginaw Public Schools. These experiences have ultimately led me back to St. Charles, where I've always wanted to be.
I'm thrilled to be back in St. Charles and excited to be a part of the community again. GO DAWGS!
