Happy Thanksgiving from St. Charles Community Schools!!

Reminder

For the past couple of days, St. Charles Elementary gym classes have been playing various Thanksgiving games. Students worked on overhand and underhand throws. Mrs. Frost loves seeing the students encourage each other.

St. Charles Elementary School would like to thank The Headband Ladies of Brighton, Michigan, for donating their time and talent to keep our students warm this winter.

A message from STC Band Director Matt Wicke:
The 25th Annual Winterball is coming up in January. It is a fun night of music, dinner, and dancing with fabulous prizes to win. If you are interested in attending, please see the order form below for ticket information. If you are unable to attend but would like to make a donation, that would be wonderful as well. Please contact Matt Wicke if you would like to donate at wickem@stccs.org

The 6th graders participated in the first-ever St. Charles Thanksgiving Day Parade! After being inspired by the book Balloons Over Broadway in Mrs. Meier's ELA class and learning about the history of the actual Macy's Day Parade, the students were challenged to design their own parade floats. They used balloons, pipe cleaners, paper, straws, and other materials to create their floats. Then, they attached the floats to robots that they had to program to travel the "parade route" -which was created with blue painter's tape. The activity was tons of fun, and the students did a lot of thinking and problem-solving.
(Thank you to Mrs. Andrusiak for letting me borrow some of the robots and to the foundation committee for funding the 6th grade STEM grant!)

November is a great time to focus on forming healthy habits, and our new challenge, "Holiday Hustle," is here to help students across Saginaw County do just that. This month, we're encouraging you to build routines that support your well-being, no matter how busy life gets.
To participate, log your activity at least three times a week throughout November. The goal is to find a rhythm that works for you and to stick with it. Even in small amounts, regular activity can create lasting habits that help you feel better, stay focused, and enjoy your daily life. Keep an eye out for information from your HRA on how to build new habits and break the ones you don't want.
As you work on these habits, you'll also have a chance to win Airborne Jump Park passes in our raffle. So, let's hustle this November—start building those healthy habits now and see how they can transform your life!
It's never too late to sign up visit. Visit.bwellsaginaw.org
