On Friday, May 1, 2026, St. Charles Community Middle/High School proudly celebrated our Senior Class of 2026.
Students participated in a variety of enjoyable activities and took time to reflect on their futures by writing down their post-graduation plans. They shared these exciting next steps with fellow students and staff during a special presentation, followed by our Senior Send-Off and luncheon. It was a memorable day that honored their achievements and highlighted the bright paths ahead.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Mrs. Kushion and the STC staff who collaborated to make this event a success. We also thank Nicole Risch Photography and Mr. Swain for capturing Decision Day photographs.
Below are a few photos that capture the joy and celebration of the day.

St. Charles High School had 17 students participate in the 2026 Michigan Construction Career Day field trip, a hands-on, in-person experience that introduces students to careers in Michigan’s construction industry.
Students had the opportunity to speak with representatives from many different construction fields, colleges, universities, and public service organizations. Students also had the opportunity to experience operating several large pieces of heavy equipment used in the construction industry.
A day out of the classroom and into the real world of work was a great learning experience for the students!

Students in Mr. Swain's tech classes at St. Charles Elementary engaged in hands-on coding activities using drones and Dash robots! 🚁🤖
They programmed the drones to spin (yaw) and even perform backflips. Additionally, the students used Dash robots to practice giving directions and to enhance their problem-solving skills through various challenges.
Our 3rd-, 4th-, and 5th-graders even took it a step further by coding their Dash robots to play Tic-Tac-Toe!
Great job applying creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking!

Eventually, it turned into butter! The students got to try their butter on bread and crackers. They all thought it was really good!

The St. Charles Elementary 5th-grade leadership team planned a Spring Scavenger Hunt to bring some fun to the busy testing season.
The team decorated and hid eggs and bunnies for students to find around the playground at recess. Students were directed to look on the back to see if they had a positive message, a kindness challenge, or a sticker to win a prize!
It was such a fun, interactive way to take a break from testing and burn off stored energy!!

If you travel past the St. Charles Community Schools district, please be advised that a damaged vehicle is on site for demonstration.
In an effort to raise awareness of safe driving habits ahead of next weekend's prom, our St. Charles High School "Students Against Destructive Decisions" group brought in a damaged display vehicle. We encourage you to have a conversation with your teenagers about safe driving and good choices.

A message from Superintendent Ronald Stanley...
Good afternoon Staff, Parents, and Community,
I am writing to share an important update regarding the future of our district. At the most recent Board of Education meeting, the Board officially voted on and approved the resolution to place a bond proposal on the August 2026 ballot. This action represents a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to support and enhance the learning environment for all of our students.
The approval of this resolution allows our district to formally move ahead with planning, community engagement, and information sharing around the proposed bond.
Over the coming months, we will be providing clear, transparent information outlining the scope of the proposal, the needs it is designed to address, and how it supports our long-term vision for the district. Our goal is to ensure that all staff, families, and community members feel informed and have opportunities to ask questions and engage in the process.
This work is rooted in our continued commitment to providing safe, high-quality learning environments and ensuring that our students have access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
More detailed communication will be shared soon, including opportunities for community input and informational sessions.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our students and our district.
Sincerely,
Ronald Stanley, Superintendent
St. Charles Community Schools
Seventeen St. Charles High School baseball and football players participated in the Baseball/Football Community Service Project at Union Court Assisted Living in St. Charles. Other spring sports and band events were also taking place, so some athletes had to attend those events. Brodie Humphrey, a student at St. Charles Elementary and manager for multiple high school sports teams, also volunteered.
The student-athletes assisted with various spring cleanup and landscaping projects, and Union Court provided pizza to thank them for their hard work.
Baseball Coach Cam Steeves and Football Coach Dave Adams were also present at the event.
