On Thursday, March 13, the 6th graders took a field trip to the Midland Center for the Arts for the INFINITE Space Explorers experience. It was an "out of this world" VR experience with breathtaking views of space and the International Space Station!

Reminder!

On March 12, 2025, our MS/HS staff participated in a Cardiac Emergency Response Team drill, supervised by the CMU College of Medicine/Covenant Healthcare Simulation Center staff. This successful drill allowed our team to practice responding promptly and effectively to a cardiac emergency. We extend our gratitude to Chad Flory (Administrative Assistant of the Emergency Preparedness Division), Heather Lange (Simulation Operation Technician/Educator), Dr. Hasan, Dr. Zehra, and Preston (the electronic/simulation manikin) for their time and commitment to maintaining a safe environment in our district.
Enjoy some photos showcasing our response team in action!

The 2025- 2026 District Calendar (Next School Year)

STC has some very talented students from the Bulldog Childcare program that have been published!!! The staff at St. St.Charles Elementary congratulate them!
At the February 19th Board of Education meeting, our 5th grade Elementary Technology Club presented their coded robots to the St. Charles School Board. The elementary Students of the Month and Officers of the Week were also recognized for their accomplishments by the Board. These are amazing kids!

Our STC 10th-grade students recently embarked on a combined ELA/History field trip to the Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills. With an amazing tour guide, students explored Holocaust history from the rise of the Nazi party through the liberation of concentration camps at the end of WWII. They examined the importance of upstanders assisting Jewish families and the strength and resilience of survivors forced into labor camps. The tour ended with stops at the Anne Frank Tree (propagated from the tree outside the Annex), the Eternal Flame and Memorial Wall, and a 2nd generation survivor sharing her family experiences during the war. The trip was generously funded by grants from the Zekelman Holocaust Center and the Mark Schonwetter Holocaust Education Foundation.

Mrs. Meier's 6th graders created masks to wrap up their studies of Africa in Geography class.
It is always fun to see what they come up with!

Reading is FUN!
Mrs. Donna Schantz consistently organizes an excellent Read Across America event! She collaborates with high school students to help them dress as Disney characters for the day and assigns them to elementary classrooms, where they read to younger students. Many community members and STC staff also participate by reading in classrooms. Although it requires considerable effort, it’s also an excellent way to celebrate and make reading enjoyable for everyone!

Cameron Dole, a Wildlife Biologist for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Division, visited the 7th graders today in Mrs. Schultz’s Middle School Success class. He gave a presentation on what character traits are important in his job. Students then had the opportunity to ask questions and examine the display of items he brought.

The STC middle school students had a special guest in their ELA classes. Dan Metiva, a Digital Forensic Analyst from the Michigan State Police, presented the dangers of online platforms and how to be safe. This interactive presentation provided the students with a lot of information; some students stated that everybody should have a presentation like this to raise awareness.
