Today was the Annual Heroes Breakfast and Veterans Health Expo. Each year, the YMCA, Saginaw County Veterans Service Office, and community sponsors put on a FREE pancake and sausage breakfast for the Heroes in our community. This includes our military, police, firefighters, nurses, and teachers. STC high school students participated by escorting people to the expo and breakfast area, talking with veterans, helping with serving, bussing tables, and cleaning up. It was so lovely to see the students having fun while interacting with such a fantastic group of people.

Thank you to Mercantile Bank for partnering with St. Charles Middle/High School to teach our students these valuable life skills.

The district-wide Safe Routes to School event was held on Tuesday, October 31st. On the mile-long walk, students were able to showcase their Halloween attire and walk a safe route to school.
The community members, St. Charles Police, Tri-Township Fire Department, and the St. Charles Village Office were also involved. St. Charles Community Schools appreciates the news coverage that TV 12 provided. What a cool way to showcase our great Walk to School event! Please check out the footage by clicking the link.

Students were allowed to wear their Halloween costumes to make the event even more enjoyable.
