This morning, the entire student body and staff of St. Charles Community Schools participated in the first-ever "district-wide" Safe Routes to School - Walk to School event. Students were allowed to wear their Halloween costumes to make the event even more enjoyable. We would like to express our gratitude to the St. Charles Police, Fire Department, and Village Office for providing safety measures and joining us for the event.

Mrs. Skiles and her middle school class celebrated Halloween with Union Court residents by playing games, sharing stories, and enjoying snacks.

Thank you to all who supported us with donations that helped us reach our goal.
GO BULLDOGS!

The Fall Fest event at the elementary school was a huge success. A big thank you to the Elementary Parent Leadership Group, Klump Farms, the High School Leadership Class, those who donated baked goods, and all the sponsors who made this event possible.

The STC high school student council is hosting a canned food and hygiene products drive from November 1st to November 22nd. Each class has designated items to donate, and community members can donate items to the school or businesses around town. All donations will stay within the community. Let's all do our part and make a positive impact!
If you have any questions, please contact Trina Kohagen, the STC Student Council Advisor, at kohagenc@stccs.org.

STC is excited to announce that the College of Medicine, of Central Michigan University, is offering a program to install additional AED units in our buildings in partnership with the Fordney Club. The existing AED units provide us with peace of mind, and adding a few more will only increase our resources during a medical emergency. We would like to express our gratitude to Steve Vance, MD of the College of Medicine at Central Michigan University, and his associate Arnav Sharma for taking the time to meet with Superintendent Mark Benson and Athletic Director Ashley Schlager. We would also like to thank the Fordney Club for their generous partnership to provide AED units to districts across the county. An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It's a sophisticated yet easy-to-use medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock or defibrillation to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.

Reminder--Walk to School Event! Dress warm and wear comfy shoes.
