The second STC spirit dress-up day of Homecoming Week was Jersey Day!

Homecoming week got off to a great start with a lot of student participation. Monday was PJ day, which the students always enjoy, along with the staff :)

Hello, Bulldogs!
I would like to take the time to formally introduce myself as your new MS/HS Principal.
I live in Birch Run with my two younger sons, Ethan, a sophomore, and Tommy, a senior. I obtained my education through Delta College, SVSU, and then ASU. When I’m not at school, you can find me at a sporting event, volunteering in the community, or on the water.
More than just being in the school, I can already see how welcoming this community is! Thank you for the opportunity to serve such a fantastic group of students and staff here at St. Charles Community Schools! I look forward to meeting each of you over the coming months.

Sunday, September 29th was the kick off to Homecoming 2024!! The STC band led the crowd to Bulldog Stadium where Coach Hoffman and the varsity football players fired up the community with the traditional bon fire to begin the full week of events.
The senior/freshman vs. the junior/sophomore teams were waiting in the wings for their chance at taking the "W" at the powder puff game. The junior/sophomore team prevailed and claimed that victory at this years competition.
Following the powder puff game the varsity football players challenged their dads in a friendly football game, where the "dad team" dominated.
What a great night of events to set the mood for all that is to come this week! Make the memories STC...it's going to be busy week!

We have been informed that the Homecoming Parade route needs to be adjusted slightly due to a tight corner that the larger parade entries will have difficulty navigating. The parade will now travel down Flint Street instead of Hosmer Street.
Please see the updated Homecoming Parade route below and enjoy the parade!
The parade will begin at 5 pm.

The middle/high school parent group will be selling Thunder sticks during the ms/hs lunches on Friday! Make sure your giving your kids extra chores this week so that they can purchase them:)
Note: Thunder sticks are not to opened at school or on the busses. They are for the Homecoming game.

The high school Competitive Writing team had their first competition on Friday at the Gratiot-Isabella RESD. The students had to write fractured fairy tales that shared another character's point of view. Their next competition is at the end of October.
