Each student is investigating their animal's appearance, diet, habitat, life cycle, and fun facts. Additionally, they are practicing drawing their animals. Stay tuned for the final product!

St. Charles Elementary School is excited to announce a NEW initiative to reward students for following our building expectations! When students are "Caught Being A Bulldog", staff members can recognize them with a Bulldog Slip!
We had our very first drawing today to reward 10 students for showing what it means to be KIND, STRONG, and WELL here at STCE. We are so proud of these students and look forward to celebrating more positive behaviors!

St. Charles Elementary School has a sensory room where students can use multiple tools to regulate emotions and calm down. From the visuals to the movement swings, this room is a safe space for students to take a brain break from academic activities, find new coping skills, and enjoy earned breaks with our behavior consultant, Ms. Yoder!

Here's a look behind the scenes of our 5th-grade leadership team's latest project: The STCE "Thankful Tree".
Our leadership team gave up their recess time to put in hard work designing signs, punching out leaves, and delivering packets to each classroom. Students even practiced their public speaking skills by giving a morning announcement to share their project with the school.
Stay tuned for the final project and watch our gratitude grow!

Mrs. Lemaire’s kindergarten class played a game called “Plunk It” for their Number Corner activity. The students listened to the sound of cubes dropping into a cup and then built the corresponding number on their five-frame.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the kindergarten classes at St. Charles Community Schools made pumpkin pie in a cup! The students used their listening skills to add the ingredients to the cup in the correct order. Afterward, they got to taste their creations, and most of them gave it a thumbs up!

The 6th-grade students of St. Charles Community Schools worked hard to complete an escape room focused on North America. Everyone escaped successfully, so they will begin studying South America tomorrow!

Mrs. Decker’s class enjoyed a Turkey Freeze Dance movement break today. Students were able to showcase their dancing skills while taking a brief break to refocus their brains!

The St. Charles Community Schools 3rd-grade classes recently had a fantastic field trip to the Chippewa Nature Center in Midland!
During this visit, students learned about animal traits, how animals survive in Michigan, and how indigenous peoples utilized natural resources for food, shelter, clothing, and tools.
It was a wonderful experience of hands-on learning! 🪶🦫🍂
